New MOS: Guerilla Sniper

Updated: MOS Descrip: Guerilla Snipers are trained in long range warfare, specifically pertaining to urban and hostile environments where setting up a secure 'Perch' in which to take their shot is the first order of business. Usually designated by light armor and a long range rifle with whatever short range weaponry is on hand as a side-arm.

Weapon: Sniper Rifles
(M40A3 for instance, characteristics, increaseing range, critical hit or damage.)

Base range 42
Base damage: 205-260
Initial weapon speed: 4.6

Ability 1: Soldier Skills

Ability 2: Marksmanship


Ability 3: Encampment

Each level increases the Sniper's Mechanical skill by 1

Level 1: Decoy emplacement
The sniper sets up a decoy perch, with a remote firing weapon (similar to a turret) with another rifle. it will continue to fire at nearby targets till out of ammo, destroyed or decommissioned by the Sniper.
Energy cost 100
Cooldown: 180
Only one decoy can be placed at any given time

Level 2: Sniper's Nest
Allows the placement of a bit of terrain, with the same properties as a bunker, slightly elevates hero position, allowing sight over trees, increasing range by 1, damage by 20%, when the sniper is inside (on top of) the nest.
Energy cost, 150
Cooldown 200

Level 3: Improved Decoy
Increases the damage of the decoy by 10% and the allotment of ammo by 40%

Level 4: Unlocks Improved Snipers Nest
Increases base HP of the nest by 200, the range bonus by 1, and the damage bonus by 10.


Ability 4: Sniper Skills

Each level increases the Sniper's Dexterity by 1

Level 1: Unlocks binoculars

Level 2: unlocks Flare Gun

Level 3: laser designation

Level 4: Opportunistic shot




This class is designed to be a form of long range DPS with an emphasis on defensive capabilities that make it distinct from the Designated marksman, which is offensive in nature with it's nanowire stun and other abilities that make it more useful when on patrol.

lawl, SDM uses a Designated Marksman Rifle, Not a Sniper Rifle.

Many suggestions of snipers. It seems hard to keep all of them.
I will try to study them all in details soon.

I feel that this is too similar to a SDM with a Barricade ability. I like the Sniper's Nest idea though. As I have suggested in the Scout-Sniper MOS thread, a slow moving, "established" sniper class is quite interesting for me personally.
