Aim Assistant and Scope usable

Postby Znimu » Sun Jan 31, 2016 8:24 am

Now you can use Aim Assistants and Scopes to recieve a permanent buff and free the slot.
The buff is lost on death, but it drops the concerned item on the ground.

You don't have to use them to have the buff, just use them to free the slot. ;)

Mountable Flashlight would be awesome too or would it make Hawkeye obsolete?

Good idea.

I don't think it would kill the hawkeye SI. Hawkeye gives +2 range, and you are never sure to find a flashlight.
Personnally I almost always take hawkeye SI to be serene, with classes which have nothing to detect invis. And I was thinking this SI required a balance somewhere.

I would lower a few the drop rate of flashlights though, but I have to check how many are dropped first.

it would HE si much useless, cuz on map always 1 fl placed at start + many of them spawn later (easy to find with flareguns/scope)
but if HE will give some another bonus... or fl less detect range than HE, it would be balanced

*already 2(3) free slots compared with the original ua3...

I know freeing slots is kind of big change. But the 6 slots system comes from Warcraft 3, where it was very hard to build an inventory with more than 6 slots (had to build a custom full inventory system).
And I think we can get rid of this limitation. Particularly for when missions lead us to bring 5 corpses or something. Sure a SFAAT can bring them easily, but what about a SDM or an AR who have to lose all their stuff to carry these corpses ? They need stuff to be efficient.
And I plan to add items soon, so to free a few slots seems necessary.

I'd like to study to reduce a few the number of FL spawned during the game. I will check too the area fo invisible detection, to see if it should be down.
Maybe add a bonus to Hawkeye too then. Any ideas for what I could add ?

Hawkeye - its better eyes.. you can see more correct, so you see at longer range.. it can be vision range, some attack range, short range detect(cuz physical invisible cant hide footprints, movement of grass, leaves and etc.), small crit chance, tehnically, attack speed (cuz you focus on target faster ~ less than AA)

Thanks for the ideas DragonS. I may add +1 vision range as it would be totally different from the FL.
But I wanted to balance it, lowering his power actually xD
I guess I still have to think about all that.
